Join SAIIA Construction as a Site Safety Manager, where you will lead safety initiatives across project sites, ensuring compliance with regulations and safeguarding the well-being of employees and subcontractors. With a focus on proactive risk assessment and training, you'll play a crucial role in fostering a culture of safety within our dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Preview projects to determine safety and environmental risks.
Develop site-specific safety plans and Emergency Action Plans.
Assess compliance with safety plans and regulations at project sites.
Document unsafe work conditions and health hazards.
Work with project management to resolve safety issues.
Conduct accident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
Manage contractors’ safety programs and training.
Ensure all required safety records are up to date.
Required Qualifications
5-7 years construction safety managerial experience or equivalent
Knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, and EPA regulations
Valid state issued Driver’s License
OSHA 10- and 30-Hours Construction Certifications
MSHA Mining Certification
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Safety or related discipline
Experience in Excavation, Trenching, and Soil Mechanics
CSP, GSP, CHST, or STSC Preferred
First Aid / CPR / AED Instructor Certification
