Job Description
Join the University of New Mexico - Hospitals as an Outpatient Psychiatric Nurse, where you will provide essential nursing care to patients in a mental health environment. You will be responsible for assessing patient health, creating care plans, and ensuring adherence to treatment protocols, making a meaningful impact on patient recovery.
Key Responsibilities
Provide professional nursing care for psychiatric patients
Design nursing care plans and assist in overall care
Interview, examine, and assess health status
Observe patient behavior and perform triage
Write treatment plans and administer medications
Educate patients and families on treatment regimens
Coordinate with various service providers
Participate in orientation and precept new personnel
Required Qualifications
Program Graduate
Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Bilingual in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
1 year directly related experience
