Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care for assigned patients in a psychiatric environment
  • Design and implement nursing care plans
  • Interview, examine, and assess health status of psychiatric patients
  • Observe patient behavior and perform crisis intervention
  • Administer medication and coordinate patient care
  • Educate patients and families on treatment regimens
  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures
  • Maintain a safe therapeutic environment for patients

Required Qualifications

  • Program Graduate
  • Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer within 30 days
  • RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
  • Obtain and maintain Aggressive Behavior Certification within 30 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Bilingual in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
  • 1 year directly related experience
