Key Responsibilities
Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans
Conduct therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
Guide patients through therapeutic activities and exercises
Monitor and document patient progress
Prepare and maintain therapy equipment, materials, and treatment areas
Instruct patients, families, and caregivers on exercises and adaptive techniques
Required Qualifications
Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) program
Current California Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) License
Knowledgeable in occupational therapy, multi-disciplinary childhood-intervention theories, and rehabilitation principles and practices
Utilizes Sensory Integration and occupational therapy techniques used in the assessment and treatment of children with disabilities
DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & TB Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Pro-Act, CPI and/or CPR certification helpful
