Job Description

The Senior Director of Access Strategy, Oncology at Sanofi will lead market access strategy for innovative therapies, collaborating with senior leadership to enhance patient access and optimize financial outcomes. This role demands strategic thinking and strong leadership to navigate complex market dynamics, ensuring successful product launches and sustainable access.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to set strategic direction for market access, pricing, channel strategy, and reimbursement
  • Develop and execute market access strategy that maximizes payer adoption and patient access
  • Lead creation of value propositions for products to payers and stakeholders
  • Communicate market access strategies and plans
  • Anticipate changes in regulatory and reimbursement landscape
  • Identify gaps in current market access understanding
  • Oversee and optimize the GTN for the therapeutic area
  • Monitor and analyze GTN performance
  • Lead coordination of access strategy elements via collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • May lead, mentor, and develop a team of Access Strategy professionals

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, M.S., PharmD, PhD) preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in account management, payer marketing, contracting, pricing, etc.
  • 7 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of managing teams and leading strategic initiatives across complex therapeutic areas
  • Solid understanding of strategic pricing and commercial contracting strategy, process and rules
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical mindset
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • High degree of business acumen
  • Ability to navigate complex, highly regulated environments
  • Demonstrated analytical and financial skillsets
  • Ability to balance brand and access objectives
