Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Birthing Center (L&D) RN
36 hr NIGHTS with every third weekend rotation.
7p-7a

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Advocates for patients and families to ensure positive patient care outcomes.
Documents all changes as well as relevant information regarding patient's response to intervention, therapeutic regimens, and patient progress as it relates to plan of care and patient's response to teaching
Communicates effectively with patients, families' peers and other members of the healthcare team
Includes patient, family, and caregivers in all aspects of care while ensuring that all explanations are understandable
Cares for patients throughout the following phases of care: triage, labor, delivery, recovery, circulate and cesarean sections, postpartum and well newborn care
Attends deliveries when appropriate. Implements stabilization process according to NRP guidelines
Responds effectively and professionally in a crisis situation
Provides resources to assist patients and families with post-discharge needs

Experience:
2 years of LDRP experience strongly preferred

Licenses, Registrations, Certifications Required:
State of Massachusetts RN licensure
BLS
NRP
BSN

Education Required:
Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program
BSN
