Key Responsibilities
Obtain accurate and updated patient information
Perform insurance verification on the date of service
Schedule appointments and procedures efficiently
Confirm and schedule appointments
Answer incoming and outgoing telephone calls
Perform referral documentation promptly
Conduct follow-up services for patients
Adhere to Optum Employee Policies
Work cohesively with fellow employees to achieve team goals
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and OSHA requirements
Cross-train and assist in other locations as needed
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
1+ years of customer service or healthcare related experience
Advanced level of computer proficiency (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word)
Ability to cover other offices if needed
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience in a medical front office position
Experience with electronic health record (EPIC)
Knowledge of medical terminology
Knowledge of complex chemotherapy scheduling and treatment cycles
