Job Description
Join Zen Educate as a Teaching Assistant in Special Education and make a meaningful impact by supporting students with specialized needs. Collaborate with teachers to create an engaging learning environment while developing your skills in behavioral support and personalized assistance.
Key Responsibilities
Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) or Individualized Education Plan (IEPs)
Provide one-on-one or small group support using positive reinforcement
Collaborate with teachers to maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment
Work closely with teachers, parents, and staff to ensure effective support
Support with personal care or hygiene as needed
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma
Experience supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay calm and patient in challenging situations
English proficiency
U.S. work authorization
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Special Education, particularly with moderate to severe behaviors
ABA Therapy experience
Behavior Technician experience
Knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies
CPR and First Aid
CPI or Pro Act Training
