Job Description
Join Zen Educate as a Teaching Assistant in Special Education, where you'll provide critical support to students with specialized needs. Work closely with lead teachers to enhance learning experiences and foster academic growth in a positive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) or Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Provide one-on-one or small group support using positive reinforcement
Collaborate with teachers to maintain a positive learning environment
Communicate with teachers, parents, and staff for effective student support
Support with personal care or hygiene as needed
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma
Experience supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay calm and patient in challenging situations
English proficiency
U.S. work authorization
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Special Education, particularly with moderate to severe behaviors
ABA Therapy experience
Behavior Technician experience
Knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies
CPR and First Aid
CPI or Pro Act Training
