ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY - TECHNOLOGIST

DESCRIPTION

Electrophysiology (EP) Technologist / Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist

Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
No call, no weekends

Unit Details

  • Setting: 2 Electrophysiology (EP) labs
  • Case Volume: 2–6 procedures per day across two rooms
  • Staffing Ratios: 2 technologists and 1–2 RNs per case (depending on complexity)
  • Procedures Performed:
    • Complex ablations utilizing Carto and Ensite mapping systems, including PFA (Pulsed Field Ablation) technology
    • Device implants: pacemakers, loop recorders, and ICDs

Qualifications

  • Required Certifications (choose one pathway):
    • ARRT – Interventional Technologist, or
    • RCES/RCIS – Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 1 year EP lab experience preferred, or
    • 3+ years interventional experience (cardiac cath/IR) with interest in EP specialization
  • Strong knowledge of EP procedures, sterile technique, and hemodynamic monitoring
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
