Job Overview – As Senior Mechanical Engineer in Applied Automation team, you will develop innovative and complex hardware systems for our emerging robotic solutions, and improve existing hardware to optimize performance and enhance customer experience. The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience designing and troubleshooting custom robotics systems from the grown up. They enjoy analytical problem solving and possesses practical knowledge of robotic design, fabrication, assembly and rapid prototyping. They thrive in an inter-disciplinary environment and have led the development of complex electro-mechanical systems.
Work with an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from concept to production including specification, design, prototyping, validation and testing
- Owner of the detailed design and performance of a robotics design
- Work with the Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality organizations as well as vendors to ensure a smooth product launch
- Exhibit role model behaviors of mechanical engineering best practices, thorough and predictive engineering analysis and cradle to grave ownership

BS in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience leading the mechanical detailed design of electro-mechanical systems
- SolidWorks or similar CAD experience and understanding of best practices for part design, advanced assemblies, complex configuration management
- Thorough understanding and use of principals, theories and concepts in mechanical engineering and ability to apply them to product design
- Experience communicating concepts to leadership and writing technical documents
- Experience working in a fast-paced agile environment
- Experience evaluating design, performance and logistical tradeoffs for hardware systems- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
- Experience with the project management of technical projects
- MS in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with the design of complex mechanical products and equipment
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with Electrical and Controls engineers
- Proficiency documenting designs in accordance with ANSI Y-14.Experience designing and debugging tooled (sheetmetal, cast, injection molded, etc) components
- Proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management PLM software and ECO’s
- Proficiency with SolidWorks Simulation or Ansys Finite Element Analysis tools
