Job Description
Join Zen Educate as a Teaching Assistant focused on special education for the 2025-2026 school year. You'll gain hands-on experience supporting diverse learners and contribute to a positive, mission-driven school community.
Key Responsibilities
Assist licensed staff in classroom with academic adaptations and IEPs
Work with students individually or in small groups for self-care and social/behavioral needs
Maintain a safe and conducive classroom environment
Provide timely support for students in crisis
Utilize various learning methods to enhance engagement and outcomes
Required Qualifications
60 college credits or higher OR passing score on Paraeducator Assessment OR Paraprofessional Assessment
Professional proficiency in English
U.S. Work Authorization
Prior experience working with children in a structured setting is an asset
Preferred Qualifications
ParaPro Certification
Behavioral Technician or PCA experience working with children
Past work experience in a school setting with children with special needs
