Pediatric Registered Nurse – Travel Position
Location: Bismarck, ND
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12s Nights
Pay: $2,199.60/week
Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse to join on a travel contract in Bismarck, ND. The Pediatric Nurse will provide high-quality care to children with a variety of acute medical needs in a 7-bed pediatric unit. The ideal candidate has a strong clinical background, is adaptable in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to family-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct nursing care to pediatric patients, including assessment, monitoring, and treatment.
Administer medications, IV therapy, and other physician-ordered interventions.
Monitor and document vital signs, responses to treatment, and changes in condition.
Educate patients’ families on care plans, discharge instructions, and ongoing home care.
Respond quickly and appropriately to pediatric emergencies.
Collaborate with physicians, pediatric specialists, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive care.
Float to other units as assigned when staffing needs require.
Qualifications:
Current and valid Registered Nurse license in North Dakota (or compact license).
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
Minimum of 2 years of recent pediatric nursing experience.
Current certifications in Basic Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to remain calm and effective in high-acuity pediatric situations.
