Join Travelers as a Senior Risk Control Consultant - Field, where you'll provide critical insights into risk management for complex accounts. Collaborate with Underwriting and build strong relationships to drive effective risk mitigation strategies, contributing to the safety and success of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Provide account knowledge related to hazards, controls, and management
Evaluate how a company identifies and manages inherent risk factors
Partner with Underwriting to select, retain, and grow a profitable book of business
Build and maintain productive relationships with Underwriting, Claim, Risk Control Specialists, and Brokers
Complete risk assessment evaluations for diverse businesses with high complexity
Write detailed reports communicating risk assessments and recommendations
Identify uncontrolled exposures and influence customers to make improvements
Provide solutions to assist customers in risk mitigation
Stay current with technical subject matters and emerging issues
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or graduate degree in environmental health and safety, engineering, construction management, basic sciences, or related technical fields
Seven years of experience in safety, risk control/management, or a related field
Valid driver's license
Must have or be able to attain appropriate certification to meet state-specific requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced level knowledge of insurance industry and business acumen
Recognized relevant certifications (such as ASP, CSP, ARM, CFPS)
Technical aptitude, detail oriented
Superior communication skills - both written and verbal
