Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian, where you will lead a dedicated team in providing high-quality veterinary care to underserved communities. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery provided at the ASPCA’s CVC
  • Train veterinarians in HQHVSN techniques and other medical protocols
  • Support a positive work culture through regular 1:1s and performance evaluations
  • Perform pre-surgery physical examinations and high volume spay/neuter procedures
  • Provide compassionate, quality preventive and basic care to patients
  • Participate in monthly veterinary medicine rounds and morbidity meetings

Required Qualifications

  • Current California State Veterinary License
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
  • Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
  • Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
  • Demonstrate true leadership abilities in challenging situations
  • Ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced clinic environment
  • Fear Free® Shelter certification within 60 days of hire

  • Previous people management experience
