Job Description: Day Shift OR Nurse
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:30)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week. 5x8's ONLY - no other schedule can be accommodated.
On-call Requirements
- Nights, weekends, and holidays included.
- On-call typically consists of 1 night a week and 2-3 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.
Travel Requirement
No locals, must reside within a 50-mile radius.
Qualifications
- 3 years of main hospital experience required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- CPI not required.
- Previous charge experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Immediately assess each patient upon admission to the OR, addressing biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, and discharge planning factors.
- Ongoing assessment and reassessment of patients, identifying needs/problems and implementing nursing interventions.
- Develop individualized plans of nursing care tailored to the intraoperative setting.
- Required to float to like acuities or less if needed.
Skills Required
- Experience with various surgical procedures, including but not limited to: Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion, Laparoscopic Assisted Procedures, Total Joint Replacement, and others as specified.
- Proficient in charting systems; experience with Meditech required.
Unit Details
- Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics.
- Daily census and number of visits per day will vary.
- Staffing ratio is 1:1.

- Include a recent Nursys report from within the last week.
- Indicate if the candidate is a previous employee of the hosting facility.
- Requested Time Off (RTO) must be listed up front in the submission.
- Education verification is required at the time of submission.
