Job Description

Join Quill, part of the Staples family, as a Business Development Representative focused on driving new revenue in the Philadelphia, PA area. This remote position emphasizes building customer relationships and achieving sales goals while enjoying a supportive and inclusive work culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive conversion of new revenue from new customers
  • Build territory penetration strategy and analyze performance
  • Qualify prospects and route opportunities to sales team members
  • Schedule appointments and meet with prospective customers
  • Utilize marketing collateral for presentations
  • Attend conferences and events to represent Quill
  • Create and present custom pricing solutions
  • Leverage education contracts to acquire new customers
  • Ensure smooth transition to account management team
  • Meet and exceed quotas and key metrics
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM
  • Seek improvement and apply coaching
  • Positively impact culture and team dynamics

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma/GED
  • 4+ years of field sales experience
  • Required travel within territory based on appointments, customer needs and conferences, approximately 50% travel
  • Remote Role: Must be able to cover a territory of Philadelphia, PA

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 months+ of relevant experience in the public sector market
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proven business development experience
