Job Description
Join Optum as a Warehouse Operations Supervisor at our Etna, OH distribution center to lead a team in optimizing operations and ensuring timely task completion. Drive safety, quality, and process improvements while supporting specialty distribution needs and enhancing health equity.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management
Monitor efficiency and quality metrics, assign work, and provide coaching to staff
Supervise daily work assignments and performance of Team Leads and Associates
Track efficiency and productivity metrics, guiding Associates to complete tasks correctly and safely
Track employee attendance and ensure necessary headcount
Report on team performance to leadership
Document issues and communicate root causes to stakeholders
Identify opportunities to improve operations and mitigate risks
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback
Participate in interviewing and onboarding of new Associates
Align individual goals with functional goals
Work within budgetary objectives and apply knowledge of profit drivers
Leverage customer knowledge to develop solutions
Resolve routine problems using defined processes
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience working with supply chain operations, transportation management systems or associated technologies
1+ years of prior leadership experience
Intermediate level of proficiency using Supply Chain Management through TMS and WMS
Ability to work overtime and cover additional shifts as needed
Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating material handling equipment
ERP/SAP warehouse management experience with EWM
