ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New Hampshire RN License or Compact State RN Licensure
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience (Level 1 trauma or equivalent preferred)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification – required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification – required
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification – required
• ICU and Pediatric nursing experience preferred

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality critical care nursing to patients in the Emergency Department's ICU hold/landing zone
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide advanced life support as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards
• Support patients and families with compassion and professionalism during critical care situations
