As a Patient Safety Assistant Float, you will provide essential monitoring and support to patients across multiple St. Charles Health System campuses. This role is pivotal in ensuring patient safety and comfort while collaborating closely with nursing staff to create a therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide constant observation and support to patients
Conduct room checks to remove harmful items
Assist with activities of daily living
Document observations and interventions
Follow safety protocols and interventions
Support the vision, mission, and values of the organization
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification
Willingness to take additional required courses
Preferred Qualifications
Current Licensure/Certification as a CNA, EMT, or Medical Assistant
Completion of training program: EMT, CNA, MA, Paramedic, RN Students: completion of 1st quarter/semester of nursing school
