Key Responsibilities
Perform clinical laboratory analyses and examinations accurately and within turnaround time
Interpret and correlate clinical test results with patient history and diagnosis
Communicate critical lab results to medical personnel
Conduct quality control and maintenance of instruments
Prepare reagents and maintain laboratory supply inventory
Assist in training new employees and act as a technical consultant
Teach in the School of Medical Technology as needed
May conduct research and development of new technologies
Required Qualifications
BS in Medical Technology or BS in Related Science
New York State Department of Education License or Limited Permit as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist
4+ years of relevant Medical Technology Laboratory experience
Preferred Qualifications
Certification by American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
Previous experience in a Clinical or Pathology Laboratory
Previous experience in a laboratory supervisory or leadership position
