Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and register patients in a prompt and friendly manner
  • Instruct, direct, and schedule patients and visitors
  • Receive payments and issue receipts
  • Verify insurance eligibility and coverage
  • Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Assist with patient portal enrollment
  • Prepare daily batch reports of collections
  • Communicate effectively with clinical staff
  • Maintain a neat and organized environment

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1+ years of customer service or healthcare related experience
  • Intermediate level of computer proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a receptionist in a healthcare setting
  • Experience working with an electronic health record
  • Experience working with scheduling programs
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
