Join Zen Educate as a Teaching Assistant focused on special education for the 2025–2026 school year. This full-time role allows you to gain valuable experience supporting diverse learners in a welcoming school community, while assisting with lesson preparation and classroom management.
Key Responsibilities
Assist licensed staff in implementing academic adaptations and IEPs
Work with students individually or in small groups on self-care and social/behavioral needs
Maintain a safe and conducive classroom environment
Provide timely support for students in crisis situations
Utilize various learning methods to enhance student engagement and outcomes
Required Qualifications
60 college credits or higher, OR passing score on Paraeducator Assessment (65%+ on Instructional Support test and 70%+ on Knowledge and Application test), OR passing score on Paraprofessional Assessment (combined score of 460 or above)
Professional proficiency in English
U.S. Work Authorization
Preferred Qualifications
ParaPro Certification
Behavioral Technician or PCA experience working with children
Past work experience in a school setting with children with special needs
