Key Responsibilities
Enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations
Facilitate legitimate trade and travel
Conduct inspections of individuals and conveyances
Determine the admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States
Prevent illegal entry of individuals and contraband
Required Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship
Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years
Must be referred before your 40th birthday (some exceptions apply)
Specialized experience or education equivalent to GS-9 grade level
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or higher
J.D. or LL.B. from an accredited college or university
Experience in law enforcement methods
Spanish language proficiency for certain locations
