Cook Children’s Health Care System is seeking a per diem / prn Child Life Specialist for a per diem / prn job in Fort Worth, Texas.

4Summary:
This Child Life Specialist will work to provide coverage to the Emergency Department and will be responsible for providing essential life experiences, family support & education to patients and families in the health care system. The Child Life Specialist collaborates with other health care providers, as well as the community, to promote growth and development and facilitate positive adjustment for patients and families throughout the health care experience.
Required Education/Qualifications:
Bachelor's (or) Master's Degree in Child Life, Child Development, or a closely related field.
Completion of a child life internship.
Previous experience working as a Child Life Specialist within Emergency Dept. preferred.
Certified Child Life Specialist (or eligible) within one year of hire.
American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS required within 60 days of hire.
