As a Floating Produce Manager, you will oversee the operations of the produce department, ensuring quality, freshness, and compliance with company standards. Your role includes achieving sales goals, managing inventory, and training staff while contributing to a positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve sales and gross profit goals
Maintain supply control, payroll expenses, and inventory controls
Order product and ensure proper pricing
Ensure quality and freshness of product
Direct stocking, display, and rotation of produce
Work with Store Manager and Produce Specialist on merchandising and planning
Maintain sanitation standards
Supervise Produce Department employees
Ensure compliance with safety standards
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
2 to 4 years related experience and/or training
Ability to read and interpret documents
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively to customers and employees
Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and percentages
Ability to solve practical problems
