Key Responsibilities
Educate assigned children in the classroom
Plan and implement educational curriculum
Conduct home visits and parent conferences
Maintain weekly lesson plans and progress notes
Coordinate bi-monthly classroom meetings
Provide input to evaluate volunteers and interns
Coordinate parent education and support
Required Qualifications
H.S. Diploma or national equivalent
Child Development Associate Teacher Permit
Experience teaching in a preschool or infant/toddler classroom setting
Current pediatric CPR and first aid certificate
Food handler’s certificate
California-mandated Child Abuse Reporter Training
Pesticide Safety Training
Proficiency with MS Office applications
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to communicate effectively
Experience with child development regulations
Ability to develop supportive relationships with children
