Key Responsibilities
Diagnoses and repairs medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers
Completes overhauls and rebuilds of heavy-duty diesel engines and transmissions
Performs preventative maintenance and standard component inspections
Inspects brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other parts
Completes documentation for repairs and preventative maintenance
Installs, replaces, and repairs onboard computers
Trains and provides guidance to other mechanics
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
5 - 7 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in refrigeration and/or overhauls and rebuilds of heavy-duty diesel engines and transmissions
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with computerized diagnostics
Electrical troubleshooting
Electronic component repair
