Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician where you'll ensure our facilities operate at peak performance while working on America's fastest and most reliable network. This role involves hands-on work with outside plant maintenance, construction, and teamwork to achieve excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging and removing outside plant including various types of cables and associated hardware
Connecting wires and cables to terminals and attaching/detaching hardware
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating Company motor vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft, and lifting items generally not exceeding 100 lbs
Working evenings, weekends, holidays and unscheduled shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
Valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree or 2 or more years of relevant work experience
Completed Verizon Technician Program or similar programs covering electrical or lineman training
