Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ED) | St. Mary’s Regional Hospital, Grand Junction, CO
Job Title: RN – Emergency Department
Schedule: 3x12-Hour Shifts (36 hours/week)

Position Summary
The Emergency Department RN provides direct patient care, performs assessments, administers treatments, and collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality care. This role supports the mission and values of SCL Health and may require floating to other departments or participating in on-call coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform independent and delegated nursing functions per state Board of Nursing standards
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Conduct health teaching and counseling
- Provide supportive and restorative therapy and treatment
- Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients as needed
- Monitor and review treatment plans
- Document care per hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Float to other units as needed
- Participate in on-call coverage
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited program
- Active RN license in Colorado
- BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- NIHSS certification
- Previous ED nursing experience
- Additional certifications relevant to emergency care
