Key Responsibilities
Provides education to staff on regulatory standards and compliance
Coordinates and evaluates the orientation process for new unit staff
Participates in unit-specific and hospital-wide quality improvement activities
Maintains staff education tracking records
Collaborates with the Clinical Director and Unit Leadership
Attends ongoing educational opportunities and provides summary presentations
Participates in the evaluation and interview of job candidates
Develops individual educational plans for staff competency
Encourages staff participation in professional development activities
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Minimum of three years as a Registered Nurse
Experience in nursing staff development or leadership
Knowledge of nursing staff development theory or principles of adult education
Current licensure as a registered nurse by the Maryland Board of Nursing
Specialty Certification and Professional Organization Membership (Mental Health Nursing)
American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS
