We are seeking a full-time *Operating Room Director – Endoscopy and Sterile Processing Services *to join us at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI. You will help ensure the delivery of safe and high-quality surgical care for both pediatric and adult trauma patients, including those at a Level I trauma center.



*Responsibilities:*
* Oversee the daily functions of the OR Endoscopy and Sterile Processing Services departments, ensuring efficient workflow by utilizing technology and informatics solutions to improve patient care results
* Create staffing plans, retention plans, recruitment activities, and ensure that staffing levels meet the operational and patient care requirements of both departments
* Maintain clinical advancements in perioperative services, applying evidence-based strategies and innovative technologies to improve patient outcomes and enhance performance
* Incorporate best practices into workflows and set metrics and benchmarks to align initiatives with organizational quality and safety goals
* Work together with multidisciplinary teams to optimize surgical schedules, patient flow, and instrument sterilization processes by using informatics tools to minimize bottlenecks and enhance overall perioperative efficiency
* Collaborate closely with the revenue integrity finance team to guarantee precise billing and coding for surgical procedures
* Analyze departmental financial performance by reviewing differences between budgeted and actual spending, and suggest corrective actions
* Help develop strategies that minimize waste, optimize resource use, and ensure cost-effective care delivery while maintaining high quality and safety standards



*Qualifications*:
* 5+ years of perioperative services experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
* Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
* Master’s degree in nursing or a related field like healthcare administration or equivalent
* Current RN license in RI (or a state that participates in the Nurse Licensure Compact)
* Certification in perioperative nursing (e.g., CNOR) preferred
* American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required
* Certifications related to surgical services, sterile processing, or trauma care (e.g., CSPDT, CST, or trauma certifications) highly desired
