Job Title: Cath Lab Tech
Location: Flemington, NJ
Job Type: 13 Weeks Contract
Schedule:
Monday to Friday with flexible scheduling options (7 AM - 4 PM, 8 AM - 6 PM, etc.).
Must have flexibility to stay until 6 PM on some days.
On Call:
10 days per month.
Call starts either at 5 PM or 7 PM, depending on staff availability, and ends at 6:30 AM.
Rarely called in, but will be scheduled with a beeper if needed.
30-minute response time required from the hospital. On-call rooms are available for those outside the radius.
Position Summary:
The Registered Radiology Technologist RT(R)/Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) serves as a vital member of the Cardiovascular Catheterization Team. This role involves independently performing technical duties associated with procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab, assisting physicians during procedures, and supporting nursing staff with patient care activities.
Primary Position Responsibilities:
Prepare the Catheterization Laboratory and equipment for procedures, maintain supply inventory, and ensure a clean environment of care.
Function as a scrub assistant during diagnostic, interventional, and all other procedures performed in the Cath Lab.
Operate as the hemodynamic monitor and control room operator during procedures, providing accurate recordkeeping.
Deliver high-quality radiographic imaging, ensuring quality assurance and radiation safety.
Review documentation, including procedure orders and patient medical records; explain procedures, answer questions, and provide a high-level patient experience.
Maintain records of images, reports, equipment maintenance, and inventory control.
Minimum Education Required:
Graduate of a Radiology Technology program.
Registered Radiology Technologist through AART.
Minimum Years of Experience Required:
1 year of experience in a Cath Lab or related setting.
Preferred:
2 or more years of experience.
