Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Complete and assure the accuracy of MDS assessments
Determine Patient Driven Payment Method (PDPM)
Assess nursing needs of prospective residents
Monitor Case Mix Index (CMI) scores
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Provide ongoing education to facility staff
Required Qualifications
Valid state RN nursing license
Direct care in a long-term care setting
Strong organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree or certification
Experience as MDS Coordinator, Clinical Reimbursement Specialist, or Nurse Assessment Coordinator
Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing the MDS
Interest in nursing needs of the aged and chronically ill
