Job Description
As a Respiratory Care Practitioner at Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughter, you will provide specialized clinical therapies to neonatal and pediatric patients. You will assess patient needs, develop care plans, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality respiratory care in critical and emergency settings.
Key Responsibilities
Assess patient condition and develop respiratory care plans
Administer diagnostic tests and evaluate therapeutic responses
Assist with endotracheal intubation and bronchoscopy
Respond to respiratory emergencies
Maintain artificial airways and provide mechanical ventilation
Document patient care treatments and responses
Required Qualifications
Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
Associate degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited program
American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited program
