Job Details – OR RN Travel Assignment

• Location: Burlington, VT 05401 (Vermont nursing jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
• Healthcare Setting: Operating Room (OR) – Level 1 Trauma Center
• Start Date: November 3, 2025
• End Date: May 3, 2026
• Contract Duration: 26 weeks
• Hours per Week: 40
• Shift: 10-hour rotating shifts (Days/Evenings), including weekends and on-call; flexibility required
• Holiday Coverage: Must work 2 out of 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2610 - $2800

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Vermont or compact state)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience in a large Level 1 trauma center
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years (required)
• Proficient in both circulating and scrubbing roles
• Strong clinical skills in: General OR, orthopedics, urology, oncology, Da Vinci Robotics, general surgery, ENT, dental, plastics, neuro, CVT, and trauma
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (public transportation not accessible)
• Vehicle must have all-season or snow tires November–April
• Complete work history required for submission (including bed count, EMR, facility type, and explanations for employment gaps over 90 days)

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary OR environment
• Circulate and scrub for a wide range of surgical procedures, including trauma, orthopedics, neurosurgery, plastics, and robotic-assisted surgeries
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR
• Participate in weekend, holiday, and on-call rotations as required by the hospital
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in scheduling and assignments to meet patient care needs
