• Location: Harrisburg, PA 17101 (Central Pennsylvania healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing, On-Site
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (3 shifts/week)
• Hours per Week: 36

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Pennsylvania nursing license preferred)
• BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• Minimum 2 years bedside clinical experience in medical-surgical or acute care settings
• ICU experience required

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission; develop individualized care plans
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to identify teaching needs and set goals
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in electronic medical records
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and discharge planning from admission
• Communicate changes in patient status to physicians and care providers to ensure continuity and safety
• Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
• Maintain a safe clinical environment, adhering to hospital safety and infection control policies
• Contribute to team building and a supportive healthcare work environment
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation
• Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education for nursing jobs
