Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive testing systems for laboratory quality assurance
Achieve established turnaround times for lab results
Spearhead research initiatives in immunogenetics and histocompatibility
Lead validation of advanced testing procedures
Review and oversee clinical test reports
Foster a culture of excellence among staff
Develop and implement lab-specific policies
Provide backup to the Senior Laboratory Director
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. or MD/DO with ASHI Certification as a Director
Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics
At least 2 years of leadership experience
Proficiency in databases, IT systems, and genomic software relevant to HLA testing
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong teaching and coaching skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications
Extensive scientific knowledge in Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics
Expertise in HLA Serology and Molecular Genetics, including Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS)
Experience in Platelet Serology and HLA Antibody Screening/Identification
Knowledge of Flow Cytometry Crossmatch Techniques
Experience in Chimerism Studies for transplantation monitoring
