Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian, where you will support a dedicated team providing vital veterinary care to underserved communities. Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery provided at the ASPCA’s CVC
Train veterinarians in HQHVSN techniques and other medical protocols
Support a positive work culture of respect, belonging, and teamwork
Perform pre-surgery physical examinations and high-quality spay/neuter procedures
Provide compassionate preventive and basic care to underserved patients
Schedule CM staff veterinarians and per diems for optimal coverage
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Demonstrate true leadership abilities in challenging situations
Possess ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced clinic environment
Fear Free® Shelter certification required within 60 days of hire
