Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian, where you will support a dedicated team providing vital veterinary care to underserved communities. You will lead a high-functioning team, ensuring quality care for pets while coaching and developing new veterinarians. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery provided at the ASPCA’s CVC
  • Train veterinarians in HQHVSN techniques and other medical protocols
  • Support a positive work culture of respect, belonging, and teamwork
  • Perform pre-surgery physical examinations and high-quality spay/neuter procedures
  • Provide compassionate preventive and basic care to underserved patients
  • Schedule CM staff veterinarians and per diems for optimal coverage

Required Qualifications

  • Current California State Veterinary License
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
  • Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
  • Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
  • Demonstrate true leadership abilities in challenging situations
  • Possess ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced clinic environment
  • Fear Free® Shelter certification required within 60 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous people management experience
