Qualifications:

• Current MD or Compact State RN license
• American Heart Association BLS (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• Minimum 3 years of recent relevant RN experience
• U.S. citizenship required

Psych RN Contract Details:

• $1,733 - $1,928 per week*
• 52-week contract with possibility to extend
• Both day and night shifts are available
• 36 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Uses the nursing process to identify patient issues and create nursing diagnoses.
• Completes full behavioral health assessments and patient history to guide nursing care.
• Develops and carries out care plans and nursing orders to meet patient goals.
• Recognizes potential crises and takes emergency action when needed, with knowledge of psychiatric disorders and crisis intervention.
• Collects information about the patient and family, including health status and substance use history.
• Monitors patients for signs of withdrawal and relapse.
• Skilled in behavioral health assessment, triage, evaluation, treatment, and care planning for complex psychiatric cases, ensuring patients receive the right level of care.
