Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3/12s
Weekend Schedule: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
The MS/Telemetry Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The RN demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning for safe delivery of care. Responsibilities include maintaining clinical competencies, delegating patient care priorities commensurate with staff education and experience, and providing direction and supervision to assigned personnel.
This is a float pool position, so the RN must be willing to float across units as needed.
Units included: Two MS departments (Ortho/Neuro) and Telemetry. Depending on skill level, may float to PCU. Occasionally may assist in the ED holding area for admitted patients waiting for a bed upstairs.
Units floated across: Rarely to sister facilities; typically limited to one unit per shift.
Frequency of floating during a shift: Usually one unit per shift; occasional reassignment may occur based on census.
Ratios: 1:6 in MS/Telemetry; 1:4-5 in ED holding area.
Telemetry experience required
2+ years RN experience
AZ RN License
BLS, ACLS
