The Class A Owner Operator-OTR is responsible for safely operating tractor-trailer units over long-distance routes, primarily between Houston, TX, and the Southeast. The role emphasizes adherence to health and safety standards, proper loading and placarding of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, as well as maintaining accurate logs and reports. The position requires a Class A CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements and offers competitive compensation based on mileage, hourly rates, and demurrage time.

Clean Harbors is looking for a OTR Class A Dry Van Owner Operator to join their safety conscious team in Houston, TX ! This route runs from Houston, TX to various locations in the Southeast and averages 2500-2700 miles per week.

About the role:

• Average $200-250K per year
• Bi-Weekly home time
• Compensation package includes all on-duty time paid via hourly demurrage rates, non-asset hourly rates, and/or mileage pay

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operates tractor trailer units
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads
• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintains daily logs, invoicing, time sheets, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports

QUALIFICATIONS

• Class A CDL
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
• 12+ months of Class A driving experience
• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
