PACU RN Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU or acute care RN experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (required)
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic charting system
• Ability to float within skillset as needed

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver post-anesthesia care to surgical patients, including cardiac and neuro cases
• Monitor and assess patients recovering from surgery (excluding transplant cases)
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner
• Assist with special procedures and support the PACU unit as needed
• Work every other weekend and adapt to evening shift schedule
