Key Responsibilities
Assist in design of electrical projects and install electrical equipment
Coordinate efforts with other workers for equipment installation and maintenance
Consult with operators, supervisors, and engineers to plan equipment layout and resolve operational issues
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks
Inspect components of industrial equipment for accurate assembly and defects
Maintain equipment logs and document performance problems
Repair, install, and adjust equipment and machines
Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions
Work extended shifts as needed and adapt to changing priorities
Follow safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
Required Qualifications
Eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years or older
Ability to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Ability to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold
Ability to work in elevated areas
Must be able to operate machinery
Must be able to read/write English
High School diploma or Equivalent
Basic computer skills including data entry and retrieval
Ability to work overtime, holidays, nights, weekends, or different shifts
Experience working with blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications
Must have a high degree of mechanical aptitude
Demonstrated ability to perform basic mathematical functions
Willingness to work in inclement conditions and extreme temperatures
Ability to work in an outdoor and indoor plant environment
Good time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks
Strong commitment to safety
Adequate transportation
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with wiring and programming Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers
Experience using electrical test equipment for analysis and troubleshooting
Knowledge of the National Electric Code
Mechanical aptitude to work from blueprints, maintenance manuals, and drawings
Apprentice, Journeyman or above license with the state of Nebraska or equivalent
A 2-year degree in electromechanical, electrical systems, or equivalent
