Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian, where you'll lead a team in providing high-quality veterinary care to underserved communities. You'll train fellow veterinarians, perform surgeries, and help ensure every pet receives compassionate care. Make a meaningful impact in animal welfare with a dedicated team focused on community service.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at the ASPCA’s Community Veterinary Clinic
Train veterinarians in high-quality spay/neuter techniques
Support positive work culture and team development
Support internal ASPCA departments with medical consultations
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Demonstrate true leadership abilities in challenging situations
Ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced clinic environment
Fear Free® Shelter certification required within 60 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
