• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours: 36 hours per week (guaranteed)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Unit Size: 22 beds
• Patient Ratio: 4:1

PCU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent step-down or ICU nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

PCU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult cardiac patients, including post-cardiac cath lab and cardioversion cases
• Monitor patients using telemetry equipment and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and flexible clinical environment
• Adhere to hospital policies, including dress code and professional standards
