Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to join a reputable healthcare facility in Cortez, Colorado . This role is ideal for an RN who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care across a diverse medical-surgical population.

Role Purpose:
The Med Surg RN will administer nursing care to patients efficiently, safely, and compassionately, using appropriate nursing standards and procedures. The nurse must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care across the lifespan and effectively respond to changes in patient conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in coordination with the healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols
• Monitor and document patient status, reporting changes promptly
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal health outcomes
• Utilize information technologies to support evidence-based care

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Associate Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Active Colorado RN License or Compact State License
• Certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Preferred (can be obtained at facility if not current)
• Strong clinical competence in medical-surgical nursing
• Ability to assess, analyze, and interpret patient data to deliver safe and effective care
