• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7p-7a)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Unit Size: 11 beds
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1470 - $1570

ER RN Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Emergency Department (ED) or Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED) settings
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas RN license preferred)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NIHSS, CPI certifications required
• Proficiency in tough sticks, large bore IVs, blood cultures, triage, and patient monitoring
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
• Flexible, strong teamwork skills

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced FSED environment
• Perform emergency response procedures and point-of-care (POC) lab testing
• Initiate and manage trauma protocols, code blue, stroke, STEMI, and sepsis protocols
• Start and manage large bore IVs, draw blood cultures, and triage patients
• Document patient care in Meditech EMR system
• Float to other FSED/ED areas as needed
