Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician where you'll ensure our outside plant facilities operate efficiently. Your role involves installing and maintaining cables and hardware, ensuring top-notch service for customers. Be a part of a dynamic team that values innovation and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging, and removing outside plant including aerial, underground, submarine, and buried cables
Connecting wires and cables to terminals and attaching/detaching hardware
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating company motor vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles, and lifting items generally not exceeding 100 lbs
Working evenings, weekends, holidays, and unscheduled shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
Valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree or 2 or more years of relevant work experience
Completed Verizon Technician Program or similar programs covering electrical or lineman training
