Job Description

Join Raytheon as a Manufacturing Engineer I, where you'll develop and improve manufacturing processes, analyze product specifications, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with various teams to create efficient solutions that enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions and workflow/routing
  • Supporting daily manufacturing areas with process troubleshooting
  • Dispositioning non-conforming material with root cause and corrective action analysis
  • Driving Continuous Improvement through process improvements
  • Providing real-time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators
  • Tool/fixture development to drive ergonomics into processes
  • Leading corrective action investigations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Less than 2 years prior relevant experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational skills with fine attention to detail
  • Knowledge and ability to apply CORE principles and techniques
  • Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE)
  • Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude
  • Innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong organization skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proven written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Current DoD security clearance (secret)
  • Experience with automated tooling, machinery and programming
  • Experience with Refurbishment and Repair requirements and processing of Government Furnished Material (GFM) or Equipment (GFE)
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PPT, Project, Word)
